Turn a quote into an invoice and record payments

Finalize the quote, convert it to a draft invoice, mark it issued when you send it yourself, and record payments as they arrive.

Steps

  1. Finalize the quote. Finalizing makes a fixed revision. Editing it later creates the next revision, and earlier revisions stay exactly as they were.
  2. Convert to a draft invoice when the customer agrees. A quote total is never counted as income.
  3. Send the invoice yourself. Export it as Word or Print / Save as PDF and send it the way you normally do. Mark as issued records your decision; the app sends nothing.
  4. Record payments as they arrive. Partial payments are fine. To correct one, use Reverse; the history stays complete.

How totals are calculated

Each line is rounded to the cent, then one optional discount is taken before tax, then each tax rate you entered is applied to the taxable amount. The method is printed on every document. Enter only tax rates you have confirmed apply; the app does not decide what tax you owe.

Missing prices

Prices come only from your saved services or what you type. Lines without a price or quantity show Needs information. Add your services under Customers > Services & prices.
