Drive & Help is the last item in the left menu (in Evolve Everyday, the last item in the left column). It works through the launcher window, so keep that window open.
What it does
- Updates: shows the installed version and any newer update ZIP in Downloads, on the desktop, or on the drive. Install closes the app, runs the updater, and starts the edition again. Undo the last update works the same way.
- Desktop shortcuts: Add desktop shortcuts puts an Evolve AI folder on the desktop with a Start shortcut for every edition on the drive and a tools folder for each (Install an update, Undo the last update, Add or repair AI models, Start without the graphics card, Read me, Open the OfflineAI folder).
- Editions on this drive: switch to another edition in one step, or add one you bought.
- The user manual: your edition’s READ-ME, with search.
- Repair, restart, and close: add or repair AI models, Restart without the graphics card, or Close Evolve AI before you remove the drive.
In Educator and Consulting, any drafts you have open stay as they are while you look at Drive & Help. Choose the task you were working on in the menu to go back to it.
Shortcuts on another computer
On a computer without the shortcuts, double-click CREATE-DESKTOP-SHORTCUTS.bat in the OfflineAI folder. If Windows gives the drive a different letter another day, open the Evolve AI folder on the desktop and choose Make these shortcuts again.
