The launcher first tries to run the AI on an NVIDIA graphics card (GPU). If it cannot confirm one, or GPU startup fails, it asks before switching to the processor.
What you will see
- “An NVIDIA GPU could not be confirmed. CPU mode may be slower.” Type Y and press Enter to continue in CPU mode, or press Enter to cancel.
- “GPU startup failed” followed by “Retry explicitly in CPU mode? Type Y.” Type Y to retry on the processor.
Start in CPU mode directly
Double-click START-CPU.bat in the OfflineAI folder.
Good to know
- CPU mode works on more computers, and drafts take longer.
- CPU mode cannot repair missing runtime files. If the window mentions missing DLL files, open a support ticket and include the message.
